New York can suffer blizzards, hurricanes, you name it, and when the pastrami supply is threatened that is a real disaster too.
Yesterday a water main broke right out the front of New York’s iconic Katz’s Deli in the Lowere East side.
Suddenly there was water everywhere including being feet deep in Katz’s basement.
Watch the video to see just how extensive the road damage was and how much water was flowing down the street.
While the flood was happening outside and in their basement, Katz’s had a full compliment of happy New Yorkers chowing down on it’s famous pastrami and corn beef sandwiches.
A lot of food was spoiled but the pastrami and cormed beef is safe and food service goes on as noraml at this famed deli.
