NYC is used to Pop-Ups by now. Once a novelty they are now very much a regular part of the retail scene and also being used as a marketing device to promote Broadway shows and other events.
But a Pool? That’s right. From June 27 you can go use a FREE Pop-Up Pool down in the Brooklyn Bridge Park at Pier 2.
This pool is provided by the Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy, the Park’s lead steward, which brings together local groups, residents and City Government to provide services to people who use Brooklyn Bridge Park.
The pool is 30’ x 50’ and 3.5 feet deep making it ideal for families and for just about everybody who just wants to cool off in this hot weather.
There’s 45 min swim sessions which begin on the hour and 60 people at a time can use the pool.
If you’re not swimming you can sit on the beach nearby and look across to Manhattan, a kind of ‘cool’ thing to do on a warm summer’s day. LIKE Shouting Out to the BBP Conservancy for providing a great way to cool off this summer.
