Every year there’s a great ‘Showdown in Chinatown’ which features top US and International soccer and basketball stars playing in the Sarah D. Roosevelt Park, Lower East Side.
Why do they all come out to play in what is the closest thing most of them have been to a ‘local’ game in years?
To support the Sponsor of this event, Steve Nash, late of the Lakers and his Steve Nash Foundation.
Everyone can come along, this year’s event is June 26th and it starts at 6.30pm. The bleacher seats are free but there’s also VIP packages if you want to donate big.
Steve’s foundation helps kids who have had a rough time and provides activities and help for them to recover and gget ahead.
There’s also a rockin’ showdown event afterwards at the Penny Farthing East Village. LIKE helping kids
