Is Williamsburg, Brooklyn the only place where genuine NYC hipsters live? Or can anyone be one no matter where they lay down their head at night?

We are indebted to the Free Williamsburg crew for a thoughtful and useful definition.

Add in a love of indie rock, art, progressive politics and blatant displays of intelligence and wit and there you have it.
Except of course a great love for the artisanal foods, vintage shops and music hangouts in Williamsburg itself anyone in NYC could be a hipster but they will need a Metro card if they want to soak it all up at it’s source. LIKE how NYC has such wonderful people and places.
