NYC has always been the center of the superhero universe no matter where it has been located simply because both Marvel and DC comics have been headquartered in this City. But no more DC comics is decamping to California, who would have thought!
But Marvel is not only staying, but making a hand on the heart pledge of allegiance, by issuing a special set of covers for comics being published in May which feature iconic NYC locations each with a Marvel Superhero enjoying the scenery. Times Square, the Highline, the Bronx Zoo, Fifth avenue, the Daily News Building lobby, the sheep meadow in Central Park, a hot pretzel stand (with ant man), Broadway and the Statue of Liberty are some of the locales being featured.
Never fear Marvel we know you’re here to stay even if your superheroes decamp to Los Angeles every so often to create another great movie. See you around, right.
