Some dates are meant for quiet bonding, gentle being with, beauty and opening to nature. While there are number of fabulous places in NYC that offer thse qualitites, this is probably the least well known but right up there with the most beutiful, the Jacques Marchais Museum of Tibetan Art
This garden, created by a NYC socialite to express her love of Tibet and it’s art, has been around since the 1940′s and is still as beaitiful now as it was when it was first created. The video tells you about what it has to offer and offers glimpses of the beauty of the grounds around the main building.
It is open Wednesday through Sunday from 1-5pm, so we’re talking about a daytime date here not one for the evening.
And of course you can kick off the date by a trip on the Staten Island ferry. A bus meets every ferry, the S74, and you catch it to Lighthouse avenue and then walk up the hill.
