At Brooklyn’s New York Acquarium the sea creatures the divers, keepers and other sea life watch out for are the turtles.
Yes those turtles swimming past in lazy fashion in the video all have sharp beaks, especially hawksbill and loggerhead ones and they carry a lot of weight. Just ask the female keeper who had to be rescued when one pinned her to the floor of the Acquarium.
Turtles are not aggressive but they don’t know their own strength and use their sharp beaks to explore biting off bits of the scenery and potentially of the keepers unless everyone is careful.
As the Acquarium wants people to come and sea those big sharks they have to make sure they keep a watch out for the turtles and make they don’t hurt the sharks in any way.
Apparently if the sharks are kept well fed, which these sharks are, they are pussycats and don’t attack anyone.
