It’s seems at the moment it’s always a case of another game, another injury for Jeter. His left ankle is still sore and he’s only played 17 games this season.
There have been brief moments when his and everyone else’s hearts lift because he has taken to the field and his form is back.
But playing short stop is hard on the body and so it has proved for Jeter this season.
Sure he still has good money on the table if he stays and plays again in 2014 and it must be so hard to retire after playing for 20 years.
No-one wants him to go but no one wants him to keep on getting injured either.
He’s one of the best baseball players ever and will always be that whether he goes this year or next. Whatever you decide Jeter we love you, but it’s hard seeing you get hurt over and over. LIKE the courage of Derek Jeter.
