People like fresh produce to eat. Restaurants like getting fresh produce to cook with. And there’s a heap of people who love growing fresh food in NYC, so bingo a match made in heaven.
There’s a whole groundswell of food producers, big and small and eager consumers who get together either purposefully or through Farmers Markets and celebrate their mutual commitment to fresh food, especially vegetables.

The video clip shows the biggest roof top garden in NYC. Located in Brooklyn it’s an example of how people are getting around the problem of where to grow local food.
Some grow food in their yards at the back of houses or apartmentsand others on the balconies. But the big boys all the local farmers will tell you getting space to grow is the problem not want of customers.
