I think it’s fair to say most street festivals have much the same mixture of food, music, entertainment and things for the kids to do.
The Atlantic Antic Street Festival is however very, very big in every way so all the pleasures of Street Festivals are multiplied.
Held annually since 1974 it has over 600 vendors and in excess of million people who come to look, listen, eat, buy and enjoy.
The fair runs 10 blocks, which is over a mile, along Atlantic Ave, from Hicks Ave to 4th Avenue through the Brooklyn heights, Cobble Hill and Boerum Hill areas of Brooklyn.
At Atlantic Ave and Boerum Place there is an annual Bus Festival with vintage New York buses from 1917 onwards which you can climb inside and explore, from the New York Transit Museum.
There are live music stages, pony rides, face painting and all the food you could possible eat or take home with you. It will be a big, grand occasion. LIKE all the NYC Street Festivals.
