Retail is in almost as much trouble as media, so it really interesting seeing a top retailer trial a new concept.
The retailer is Kate Spade and the concept is the following.
Have a shop with a limited range, in this case 30 items, but completely change them weekly, then sell them both in-store or online from a large e-commerce screen set into the store wall and offer 1hr delay only in delivery.
The pop-ups are being set up in places with a lot of night time foot traffic.
175 Orchard Street, 154 Spring Street, 7 West 18th St and 30 Gansvoort St are places where the pop-ups will appear
