If you are interested in conjuring, magic, mentalism or ventriloquism then in New York you have your very own home.
It’s called the Conjuring Arts Research Center and it’s at 11 W 30th St in New York
It’s a non profit and it has an amazing library of 11,000 books the oldest of which dates back to the 15th Century, yes a lot of its books are very old.
It also has a big collection of magic related materials, over 1,000, the remains of magic acts long past which allow modern day magicians to benefit form the techniques and knowledge of old.
It also has a really great outreach program called Hocus Pocus teaching magic to disadvantaged kids and adults, and it operates through children’s hospitals, detention centers and the VA hospital.
