The whole make-up emphasis seems yo have suddenly gone nude if New York Fashion Week is anything to go by.
Minimal emphasis on the eyebrows, just the lightest of shadowing, no mascara on the eyelids and play down the lip color. A little bronzing highlighter on the eyelids to give them some prominence.
No foundation on the face, just a little on the lips as one way of muting the lip color. But do use a concealer to even out the skin tone. And a little lip gloss smeared across the face to make it look dewy.
Contouring is big but use a nude lipstck to highlight the parts of the face you want to stand out rather than putting in shadows to achieve the same effect.
In the video the make-up artist emphasizes the eyelashes under the eye which creates a focus and that is one way to add a little something to the overall nude look.
BUT some ‘nude’ looks are achieved by putting on layer upon layer of carefully applied hardly there colors to get the right effect. Why not just leave most make-up off, it looks right up to date and it is so easy.
