A truly frightening thing happened to Amanda Morris of Bushwick when she was walking to work just before 6 a.m. on West 23rd Street near 7th Avenue 4 days ago. A stranger walked up alongside her slashed her in the face and ran off quickly. She ran into a nearby shop and police were called.
There was video evidence of the attack and a good description of what the scumbag slasher was wearing and his general build and it was made public. 12 hours later an alert New Yorker saw someone who looked just like the attacker and followed him NY Post
The good samartian then saw Mounted P.O. Ogundae on his horse Clyde nearby. He ran to get their help and Officer Ogundae took it from there and arrested the man.
Since it has emerged that this man has been responsible for other slasher attacks, so arresting him has defintiely made NYC streets safer.
Very sad this happened to Amanda Morris but how great that 2 New Yorkers, one in a voluntary capacity and the other in an official capacity were able to help bring the man to justice. New Yorkers are almost all caring and protective of their neighbors and fellow citizens. This is a great example of just how true this is
