As summer leaves NYC, with another scorcher, enjoy this video portraying summer in this great city. It’s a way better representation of NYC than visiting the Statue of Liberty, even though that is a great experience.
What makes NYC great is New Yorkers, who spill all over the place in the video, in all sorts of locales. How messy, how varied and how interesting this feet on the ground view of NYC is. Not a shiny skyscraper cutting out the sun, no ancient monuments to past heroes in sight and no celebrities sucking up the oxygen of self regard. Just New Yorkers doing what they do in NYC when it’s stinking hot and you’d do anything for a breeze.
Love the crowded beaches and Coney Island and every grotty street and tunnel. It’s all how NYC is when it’s sweaty and humid. Despite the unrelenting heat all the vitality is there still as people sunbake on the sand, walk the streets, greet one another and celbrate summer days. Thank you Colby Moore
