At last a great video which summs up the love hate relationship have with New York’s wonderful subway. And it’s about New York’s despised G train which never has enough trains running and which makes you sprint for your connections.
Now comes news that a grass roots group, The Riders Alliance and Local community reps have managed to get the MTA to monitor the despised G train and finally, finally put on more trains.
The Riders alliance is a great group, composed entirely of MTA customers who work for changes related to their individual neighborhoods aming their cmapaigns focussed and practical. Look them up at

Of course the subway is a major contributor to what makes NYC such an amazing city. It ahs enabled the quick transport of 1,000′s of people. Without this it could not have flourished.
It was built over a long period of time and sometimes feels cobbled together like a bowl of spagetti, amking it an art form to go from point A to B with 3 connection inbetween.
But it is also worldy, clever, filled with people, music and wonder a part of NYV which hums with life at all times. And it is so deeply, deeply useful.
