NYC’s cops have been cracking down on New York’s subway dancers and 46 have been arrested so far.
It is said they pose a risk to passenger safety as they dance their way through train carriages.
Which seems a bit harsh because travellers always seem to really like their performances.
Now NYPD Police Commissioner, Bill ABratton has spoken out in support of them.
While he’s still against them performing in train carriages, he’s suggesting alternatives.
He’s talking about them performing in ‘appropriate places’ and thinks they should be given permits. As long as he doesn’t mean tucking them away in some quiet, dark conrer of the subway because they are really good and fun to watch.
