Every year there is a participatory Arts Festival called Figment NYC on Governor’s Island in New York Harbor.
The Festival was held last weekend and now all the sculptures that were part of it remain on Governor’s Island till the end of summer.
There’s a tree house with special nooks and crannies and there’s the interactive tree scupltures you can see in the video as well as lots and lots more.
There’s even a free mini golf course with each hole decorated by a different artist.
Governor’s Island is a great place to visit, it’s FREE and it’s open until September 28. There is a magnificent view of Manhattan from its shores.
Ferries run from Lower Manhattan every day of the week and also from Brooklyn Bridge Park’s Pier 6 on Saturdays and Sundays. A round trip is only $2 and all children are free.
