One of the most beloved books in the world is Antoine de Saint-Exupery’s ‘The Little Prince’.
Most don’t realize it was written in new York and first published here.
The original manuscript and drawings were given by Saint-Exupery to New Yorker Sylvia Hamilton and the Morgan Library acquired them from her in 1968.
Now there is to be an exhibition at the Morgan of parts of the manuscript and some of the drawings. See the video for a view of this magnificent library which was originally the private library of Pierpoint Morgan.
The exhibtion will be held Jan 24-April 27th and the Morgan Library is at 225 Madison Ave at E 36th St.
Library hours are Tues-Thurs 10.30am-5pm, Fri 10.30am-9pm, Sat 10.am-6pm and sun 11am-6pm. I’m sure going to this exhibtion will be a labor of love for all past and present readers of ‘The Little Prince’ LIKE celebrating wonderful visitors to NYC.
