Latest census data announced by the Mayor tells us NYC is growing, some areas more than others.
Brooklyn has grown 2.4%, Manhattan by 2.12%, Queens by 1.9%, the Bronx by 1.7% and Staten Island by 0.4% since the last census
When selecting a video for this post I was almost equally divided between a great one about a Manhattan women who lives in a 90 square-foot microstudio and one about Brooklyn
The Manhattan one perfectly illustrated the ‘where to live’ choice many Manhattanites make, go small to save money but still have the privilege of living in Manhattan.
But I finally picked the Brooklyn one because it also perfectly illustrates a very important trend, people moving into Brooklyn to have that all important proximity to the city but with more breathing room.
One reason for the increase in NYC’s poplution is we’re dying later and being born healthier. Way to go!! LIKE living in such a vibrant city no matter where I live.
