The Yankees Management last year and early this year lost sight of the importance of looking after their fans and went the legal route to make it difficult Yankee fans to buy cheap unwanted tickets to their games, all to keep the price of their tickets up.
There’s been a backlash folks and the same management has now announced cheaper tickets and better food at games. They’ve also knocked off the surcharge for downloading a ticket at home. Phew!
Ther will be more and better food choices and you can go for a ticket that is very cheap when combined with a food buy. And lets face it, most fans eat at the baseball.
Meanwhile over at MSG, management is now touting 2, 3 and five yr leases on the yet to be built 18 upper-bowl luxury suites which are the last part of the $1b makover of MSG.
Do not even inquire unless you are up for the $600,000+ a yr cost of a lease. Of course you get a lot for that.
Certainly you get individualized chef cooked meals for guests and vintage wines plus of course a magnigicent view of the action both for sports games and for concerts at the MSG.
It’s expensive but the usual suspects have already forked out even more for $1m+ event-level suites. Most of us don’t have pockets this deep so lets hope a stunning invite to visit these suites pops up so we can enjoy all the luxury and see a fabulous Knicks or Rangers game at some stage as we sip our vintage wine.
