NYC’s Councillors have learned the lessons of Hurricane Sandy and they are looking hard at what worked and what didn’t work last October. Lots of bills for improvements are in the works.
First up improvements in the identification, evacuation and after care of the most vulnerable like those in nursing homes.
Next, back up power sources, like solar panels to power street lights and traffic signals, not to mention charging wireless devices of all kinds.
Providing adequate shelters and improving access to necessities of all kinds and streamlining food and water distribution.
And finally having fuel available quickly for first responders of all kinds.
Thank you NYC Councillors, we need all of the above, so pass those bills and make us all feel that much more secure knowing good help and support is in place. LIKE knowing NYC is prepared for every eventuality.
