Well the mighty NYC bedbugs have done something no other critters have ever done. They’ve managed to get a movie premiere shifted from one movie theater in Times Square to another. The AMC Empire movie theater in Times Square was just about to hold the New York premiere of ‘Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials’ this week when news of rampant bedbugs in the theater struck. I mean those bedbugs were probably “Maze Runner’ fans who just wanted to cheer on their heroes but no one interviewed them so we’ll never know for sure, see video 1
Some sappy AMC cinema patrons got a bit stirred up when they got bites and spied little black critters running around and made a fuss. So there was nothing for it but to switch the premiere to over the other side of Times Square to Regal Cinemas. As you can imagine the Regal Cinemas management was very helpful in making this switch easy. And that those same management dudes reflected sadly on how AMC had several previous bedbug infestations. Tsk Tsk.
Anyway the film is supposed to be great and New York’s extermination firms are all anxious to do their best for AMC Empire Cinemas so that little bedbug problem will soon be a thing of the past. No one has asked the bedbugs what they think as they get exterminated to heck. I mean they’re movie goers too, why all the aggro. In the second video watch as the camera pans. It shows AMC Cinema on one side and then the Regal Cinema on the other side. Enterprising bedbugs are probably trekking as we speak from one side of the Times Square to the other with little packs on their back. May the NYC bedbugs rule!
