Super bowl means incredible football, to-die-for Half Time Show and laugh out loud, highly inventive ads.
Those ads cost a lot of money, $3-4million per ad in fact.
And that is really a ‘Brand’ spend, because the whole idea is to have the ad viewed over and over again forever because it is so funnly, clever and overall amazing, not so much to get people to immeditaly go and buy.
And now marketers have found a way to leverage that huge spend.

When the clever and funny teaser ad takes off it magnifies the number of views of the brand that is being advertised and in doing so justifes the cost of the actual Super Bowl ad.
