Not exactly how Porsche would like their classic 911 Turbo model in the spotlight. And, given that the Javits Center was awash with futuristic, gleaming high tech vehicles, not how any of the exhibitors wanted notice taken of their big auto show.
The explantion for what happened is somewhat puzzling. Flames, quickly doused by staff, were seen coming from the rear passenger side tire. It was said to have been caused by an electrical fault. And if it was a small electrical fault, we would have hated to see the conflagration caused by a large electrical fault. Still it was pretty exciting there for aminute.
