We’ve all had it with the snow right now. It keeps coming down and it’s so cold it never melts.
So there’s only one thing to do. Rug up and go to a nice warm bar with some friends.
Then you can drink mulled wine or a hot toddy and if the bar is broad minded a hot chocolate.
There’s a multitude of bars in New York that fill the bill and that’s good given that in this weather you may not want to go far from home.
However on the numerous lists of great bars for cold weather, very surprisingly only 4 made it onto everyone’s lists.
The four are: Brooklyn Inn, 148 Boerum Hill, Brooklyn; the Bowery Hoitel Lobby Bar 335 Bowery East Village, Mcsorley’s Ale House 15 E 7th St, East Village and finally Molly’s Pub and Shebeen 287 #rd Ave Gramercy. All of these bars are truly superb in cold weather, great atmosphere, good booze, good bar food.
