So many people come to New York because creativity is nurtured here and celebrated. Linda Mason is one of those people.
A Brit, she came after being feted by the denizens of the European Haute Couture scene.
She was a make-up muse to designers like Galliano and Armani bringing wonderful new ideas about how to celebrate the shape of a woman’s face and bathe it in color.
Her ideas may seem less dramatic today only because her way of approaching the human face as a work of art and make-up as a medium for enhancing beauty has now been so thoroughly incorporated into the art, beauty and fashion sensibility of our time.
Her shop is in Soho and there she teaches The Art Of Beauty and sells lots of makeup which she has manufactured to her specificiations.
That shop is much more like an artists studio than it is a beauty salon and so it should be because that is her message, treat your face as a work of art and your true beauty will shine through.
