I must admit I haven’t in the past had much regard for Paparazzi. They seem very intrusive and sometimes downright dangerous.
But then again we are a celebrity obsessed culture, especailly in New York, and if they take risks and do bad things in public we all wear some of the blame because they are feeding our insatiable interest in all things Celeb.
I quite like the guy in the video. He seems professional and less intrusive, though basically what he’s doing is spying on people.
I was frankly fascinated by his glimpse into the life of a paparazzo, he acts a lot more like a detective in some ways than a photographer. And astounded at the financial return potentially available.
How fascinating to realise that saleable pictures taken go on giving so the photographer who has amassed a large portfolio of popular pics can sit back and enjoy the royalties.
I admire everyone who works hard for their living, and so I salute Jae. LIKE people with interesting jobs.
