When the idea of Central Park was conceived it was thought of as a necessary part of a great and civilized city. But it is so much more than that.
As just one of the gifts the Park bestows in Spring and Fall over 200 species of birds pass through on their migratory routes elsewhere.
Just in case that doesn’t seem like much that’s a third of all bird species found in the whole of the United States.
And if one miracle of nature was not enough in NYC lives Dr Robert Decandido, known as ‘Birding Bob’, a renowned naturalist.
He conducts guides throughout the whole year but more of them during the Spring/Fall influx of migratory birds. Anyone can join him and have the joy of seeing all the numerous species of birds that visit this great Park
Go to his site here ‘Birding Bob’ and find out details of when, where and how much. (It’s very cheap). LIKE the great gift of Central Park.
