Can’t let the girl out of the City without disaster striking? Well not quite but for sure the life of a Pop Princess like Taylor Swift is littered with unforseen events and trying moments that don’t plague those of us who occupy an ordinary corner of the universe as opposed to being in the blinding spotlight of constant public fascination.
Who would have thought that such a well oiled machine as Taylor’s 1989 tour could malfunction? In the video from last month you see her coping with a stage that wouldn’t move into the right place in Washington D.C. that left her standing in space. As you can see in the video she reflected on what was wrong and then went right on with her concert, swinging into her next song. Doubtless countless hordes of backstage staff were at the same time rushing frantically to fix it all. And indeed it finally moved to where it was meant to go.
Then just this week in Edmonston, Alberta Taylor got grabbed by a fan and was nearly pulled off the stage when she was singing ‘Bad Blood’. She stopped singing while security dealt with the scumbag. Come home to NYC Taylor Swift and all will be well. New Yorkers look after their own.
