Absolutely one for the kids, large and small. There’s the opportunity to watch the Thanksgiving Parade on TV, but the Balloon Inflation that precedes it, you just have to be there in person.
Enter W79th St @ Columbus Avenue for all the fun. The balloons are huge, the number of balloon wranglers has to be seen to be believed and it’s as well organised as a finely tuned battalion assault.
Kids love it as they see Spiderman, Kermit, Snoopy and this year Elf on a Shelf and a heap of others get inflated to their full height and width. Those balloons are HUGE.
There’s enough helium to get you to the moon and heaps and heaps of excited kids. Get there early for a more comfortable walk but if you love crowds rock up late evening when all the hard work has been done and those big beauties rock gently in the breeze.
SHARE this with all the kids you know, big and small and LIKE it too to get the news out to those who don’t know about this amazing pre Thanksgiving event.
