Everyone says that New York changes all the time but it is so powerful to see the evidence.
The video was made by Cora Drimus who visited NYC to take the modern day pics, but who lives in Zurich. The mind boggles at the work involved in matching up the old and new pics.
Some of the pics are haunting, such as of the old pic of the Dakota building and the old pictures of Ellis Island.
And the surprise of so much the same such as the Arch in Washington Square, which of course is the same but still odd that it is when so much is different.
And the Stock Exchange with the street around it hardly seeming to have changed at all whereas in so many pics the changes are amazing.
